Other volunteer roles

For young people living with a parent or family members addiction life can be overwhlemingly painful, frightening and isolating. Our hope is that young people can come to learn it's not their fault and they are not alone. You can help us to support young people and reach out to many more young people who may not know that there is support out there and that they are not alone.
You can support us in different ways including:
Fundraising
Put together and hold a  fundraising event such as; James's sponsored walk in 2011 from Lincoln to London, help us to raise funds by promoting our Easyfundraising COAP supporters page or set up and promote profiles for COAP on other popular fundraising websites.
Online Marketing
Our wish is for an online marketing expert to offer their time for free to help us build our online profile so that we can reach out to more of the estimated 7 million young people affected by someone else's addiction. If this is you please do get in touch
You could help us promote our Facebook, Youtube and Twitter pages.
Speaking in schools
We get asked to speak in schools, youth groups and youth events to share our experiences of living with another's addiction and to help raise awareness about parental and family addiction. You could help us by contacting the school you attended or attend and ask them if you could hold a talk about COAP.  If you are interested about this and would like to find out more about our talks in schools please do contact us
Sharing your story in the media
When the issue of addiction is raised in the media - we are often contacted by the media and asked if there is anyone who would like to share their story about their experiences as a child and adult affected by parental and family addiciton. Whilst we do not put the media in contact directly with young people, we are interested in hearing from those over 18 who would be comfortable with sharing their story in public through the television, newspapers, radiio and magazines.
Awareness raising
You could help us by putting a short 3 minute video together about addiction or writing a piece about addiction and it's affects and promoting COAP at the same time. We could share this video on Youtube or Facebook and it could help us to raise awareness of the issue and COAP at the same time. If you would like to do a project like this we would be really happy to hear your ideas and work with you in some way to put a video together.
