How to Fundraise

At COAP we need to raise money to continue and expand on the great work that’s being done, to do that we need your help!

If you would like to organise your own fundraising event for COAP Children of Addicted Parents, then we would like to make this as easy as possible for you. Whether you want to jump out of a plane for COAP, walk up a mountain, hold a big party for all your friends or put on your own gig to showcase your talent… anything is possible!

Here is some general information giving you some ideas for fundraising activities and a little bit of guidance on what makes a successful fundraising event.

Crowd fund raising

One of the ways we have fundraised for COAP in the past is through the Fundraising Network. This involved bringing a group of people together who all wanted to raise money for a good cause. You might like to arrange a similar event for COAP, you could have a dinner for family and friends and raise money with donations for the delicious food you cook!

Or you can get active like James who walked from Lincoln to London raising £957 for COAP.

 

 

 

 

 

A few very important things to consider

When you are fundraising for COAP, you are acting ‘in aid of’ or ‘supporting’ COAP, rather than ‘on behalf of’ or ‘representing’ COAP. This means that you are independent of COAP and what you do does not fall under COAP’s control.  

Please make sure that any fundraising materials or publicity you use includes the following:
In aid of/Supports COAP: Registered Charity: 1140969

And please ensure you have permission to use any images or text – although some material is available without copyright instructions, do not assume that all materials are copyright free.
